TOTALLY SCAMMED BY WHOOGA BOOTS COMPANY

If you remember, I got my Whooga boots.  Last year someone from Whooga contacted me about their boots.  Since I make contact that way on the internet I felt it would only be fair to support their efforts.  So, when I got ready to get boots for the winter snow, I thought I would give them a chance – BAD MOVE.

The Whooga Website gives the impression that the boots are made locally in their factory. Turns out that is not the case.  I was shocked when I saw the mailing label was written in  Kanji.  NOW,  the misleading information is a concern – what else is going to PROVE TO NOT be true.

I didn’t pick a traditional styled Ugg boot – the style I picked had a small heel.  The boot I received had something I didn’t expect – stitching  on the top front of the boot  My initial reaction was – cool.  My daughter’s old Uggs don’t have this stitching and are really out of shape.  Unfortunately this stitching is a problem if the boots don’t fit perfectly, because the stitching will keep the boots from giving enough to keep them from hurting your toes. whooga boot

And I know this because, even though I ordered my true size, the boots are uncomfortable.  The boots really hurt my feet.  Additionally, the lining under my foot is pilling (making a clump behind the toes), making the boots even more uncomfortable.  And, just in case you don’t know, pilling is a characteristic of ‘MAN-MADE-FIBERS!’  One MORE OBSERVATION  that is also a little strange – the boots are black on the outside, black on the inside with white innersoles.

I wore my Whooga with tights the second time to a brunch function.  During the brunch, I noticed that my tights were inching down every time I stood up (I was seated most of the time).  If you have never had this experience, let me tell you it is very uncomfortable to think your hose are going to slide off while you are walking.  It probably looks strange from behind too.  When I was able to check  I found that the boots were making my tights inch down( another sign of MAN-MADE FIBER) – there was more tight in the boots than on my rear.  When I got home, I left the tights on and walked around for the remain of the evening to see if the US Uggs would do the same thing – eat my tights.  Well, I am happy to report that the US Uggs did not attack my tights.

Of course at this time even if it wasn’t  too late to return the boots, their return policy doesn’t allow for a refund – so why bother.

If you remember the other posts about this company, I included a hyperlink back to their site.  Since I can no longer recommend this product, I am not going to include any hyperlinks that would help others get taken by this company.  So far my experience with companies in Australia (as I watch the Australian Open) have been similar to the experiences others have had with their experiences with Nigeria – DO YOUR HOMEWORK.

Hanging with Steve Harvey

I was the lucky winner of two tickets to a recent Steve Harvey Morning Show at KMart.  I had no idea what to expect, especially since I hadn’t had the opportunity to hear his show before arriving.

Watching the morning show team in action was quite fascinating and Steve is even funny at 5:00 am.  I have to admit I went to the show to get a chance to show Steve the Heel Shield.  Steve is known for his suits.  I though his shoes would be nice, but the shoes were even better than nice.  HPIM0511  This is Steve’s Blue Suede Shoe – FABULOUS!  And, the sole of the shoe is red with three gold bars near the heel.  Beautiful shoe. (Is Christian Louboutin doing men’s shoes now?)   In fact, most of the shoes on the morning show staff were very nice.

Ramonski Love was also at the show that morning.  And, here are Ramonski’s shoes.  HPIM0505 Ramonski got his Heel Shield at the morning show.

I gave a Heel Shield to one of the ladies on the team and she let Steve see her bookmark and Heel Shield.  Steve Harvey read the bookmark information to the studio audience and complimented me on the creation of a great product.  Steve Harvey made several complimentary comments about the Heel Shield

This more a picture of the material of the suit than it is the shoe. HPIM0510  And, this shoe belongs to Steve Harvey’s Body Guard Boomerang – He took a pink Heel Shield for his wife – he loved the product toooooooooooo!HPIM0509

Heel Shields save Joan Rivers Chanel’s!

Remember my  trip back from Chicago to Phoenix, I was in the rear of the plane. As I stepped into the terminal, I saw a woman, a man and a little girl standing by the door.  I looked – the woman looked like Joan Rivers.  joanriver photo credit TVLand

Well,  I had to stop and see if it really was Joan Rivers – IT WAS!   I have to tell you SHE LOOKS GOOD!    So, I spoke to her, let her know that my sister and I had watched her on Celebrity Apprentice, blah, blah, blah.

The best part of this story for me is Joan Rivers accepted two Heel Shields – one for her and one for her daughter Melissa.

After using her Heel Shield in a rented SUV (Joan Rivers travels with her Heel Shield); I received an email THANKING ME FOR HER HEEL SHIELD!  Now, that is really cool!

Another satisfied, and happy Heel Shield user!

Got to meet Joan Rivers

I won JetBlue plane tickets for attending a woman’s conference – What a great win!

So Jet Blue was my transportation to Chicago for the Inventors Show Audition.  When you win plane tickets you have to be willing to spend lots of time on the plane.  The trip out was long – from Phoenix to New York (yes – fly over Chicago to New York), then New York to Chicago – red eye- NO BIG DEAL.

Coming back middle of the day on Sunday – Chicago to New York (fly over Chicago again) then New York to Phoenix.  Well the best part of the trip was leaving the plane at midnight in Phoenix.

For the first time almost ever, I was one of the last people to leave the plane.  When I walked through the door into the gate there was a woman, a man and a little girl standing in front of the doorway.  As I passed through, I asked the man following me - “is that Joan Rivers?”  He looked at me strangely, mumbled something, and kept walking.  joanriver photo credit TVLand

I went back (could not pass Joan Rivers and not be sure).  I asked - “Are you Joan Rivers?”  She pleasantly responded and was extremely gracious.  She even asked a few questions about me.

I had a nice short conversation with her and her travelling companions and gave her Heel Shields for herself and her daughter Melissa.

I was very excited about meeting her and if she remembers, she may send me an email about how much she LOVES her Heel Shield.

AND, let me tell you – she looked great!

Uggs – Bet you didn’t know

Ladies, I bet you didn’t know (American Ladies that is) that Uggs were created for “after surfing.”  Uggs are not a WINTER boot after all!  Uggs are for use all year long.

Stop laughing, that is one of the myths that Whooga Boots wants to clear up.  Uggs are not for SNOW!   In fact, my take on what I read is -  Uggs are just  tall house shoes.  (I personally will be getting a new pair just for the snow in Chicago this winter.)

ugg boots

Now, let me tell you, when I first saw them I said – YIKES! BUT they look like good snow boots.  When I heard that you wear them barefoot – I really got excited because of how warm they keep your feet (real Uggs won’t stink if you keep your feet clean – NO DRIVING BAREFOOT)

Whooga has the best price for Uggs that I have seen.  Whooga is an Australian company that ships to the US.

One more thing I have to mention – Heel Shields will fit on your Uggs.  Using a Heel Shield when you drive will ensure you don’t get BLACK HEEL (unprotected driving syndrome) on your Uggs!

Shoes at the Chgo Football Classic

The Football Classic is a Chicago Classic.  Most of the party is in the hallways of the Suites and in the Parking Lot.  The battle of the bands gets the most fan attention.  And lots of people come out.  There are so many people to reacquaint with and new people to meet, that sometimes I forgot to take pictures.  HPIM0393  HPIM0417

These are the first shoes and the last shoes of the day.

HPIM0401 HPIM0399 HPIM0400

The men in Chicago also pride themselves on having really stylish shoes!  The slacks were also something to see, but we were really only shooting pictures of shoes.  Except for the black leather/vinyl leggings! (She looked Great!)

                                 HPIM0403

The shoes ran the gamut – flats, sandals, boots, shooties, sequined heels, and of course  pumps!

The following shoes are my favorites from the day.  Now understand, all of the shoes I photographed stood out on their own.

So, thanks and congratulations to all of the Shoe Aficionados.  Sorry about the picture of the man’s shoe, the toe of the shoes had a nice angle.  Which one is your favorite.  Feel Free to leave a comment voting for your favorite!!!!.    HPIM0397HPIM0422HPIM0402

Thanks to the Barefoot Drivers!

I just wanted to say “Thank You” to all of the Barefoot Drivers.  No, I am not happy that you are not a customer.  A Heel Shield is a much better option than driving barefoot – keeps the inside and outside of the shoe clean.

And, barefoot drivers probably don’t realize that along with the dirt from their car mats (that is going into the ‘shoes they are trying to save’) are thousands  of bacteria.  And, we all know what bacteria does in dark damp places!

I realize that  for years you have tried all sorts of things to protect the outside of your shoe, (towels and special mats) – but Heel Shields weren’t invented yet.  So you settled on barefoot driving.  I am sorry that the inside of your shoes may have an odor and the inside not look so good.  I am sorry it took so long to get Heel Shields on the market.  But I thank you for validating the need for Heel Shields by taking off your shoes to PROTECT YOUR SHOE INVESTMENT!
